DnaA
DnaA activates initiation of DNA replication in prokaryotes. DnaA promotes the unwinding of the DNA helix. The cellular concentration of DnaA determines the initiation of DNA replication. Active DnaA is bound to ATP. DnaA binds to DNA at a specific 9 base pair DnaA box in oriC (origin of replication sequence).
