Structural highlights

4lon is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Salty. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Gene:cysB, STM1713 (SALTY)
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

[CYSB_SALTY] This protein is a positive regulator of gene expression for the cysteine regulon, a system of 10 or more loci involved in the biosynthesis of L-cysteine from inorganic sulfate. The inducer for CysB is N-acetylserine. CysB inhibits its own transcription.
