Solution structure of the 1st CAP-Gly domain in mouse CLIP-170/restinSolution structure of the 1st CAP-Gly domain in mouse CLIP-170/restin

Structural highlights

2cp7 is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Lk3 transgenic mice. Full experimental information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Gene:RIKEN cDNA 4631429H07 (LK3 transgenic mice)
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT, TOPSAN

Function

[CLIP1_MOUSE] Binds to the plus end of microtubules and regulates the dynamics of the microtubule cytoskeleton. Promotes microtubule growth and microtubule bundling. Links cytoplasmic vesicles to microtubules and thereby plays an important role in intracellular vesicle trafficking. Plays a role macropinocytosis and endosome trafficking (By similarity).

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
