Crystal structure of human pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2 (PCBD2)Crystal structure of human pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2 (PCBD2)

Structural highlights

4c45 is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Human. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:
Activity:4a-hydroxytetrahydrobiopterin dehydratase, with EC number 4.2.1.96
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

[PHS2_HUMAN] Involved in tetrahydrobiopterin biosynthesis. Seems to both prevent the formation of 7-pterins and accelerate the formation of quinonoid-BH2 (By similarity). Regulates the dimerization of homeodomain protein HNF-1-alpha and enhances its transcriptional activity.
