Mandelate racemase/muconate lactonizing enzyme (MRMLP) is an enolase family dipeptide epimerase. Other members of th family are D-mannonate dehydratase, L-talarate dehydratase, L-rhamnonate dehydratase, D-glucarate dehydratase, Galacturonate dehydratase, Tartarate dehydratase, L-fuconate dehydratase and N-succinyl Arg/Lys racemate. The D-mannonate dehydratase catalyzes the syn-hydration of D-mannonate.
