Structural highlights

8ti8 is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Bacillus cereus B4264. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Electron Microscopy, Resolution 2.9Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

SDUA_BACC4 Only component of antiviral defense system Shedu. Expression of Shedu in B.subtilis (strain BEST7003) confers resistance to phages phi105, phi29, rho14 and to a lesser extent to SPP1 (PubMed:29371424). May be an endonuclease (Probable).[1] [2]
