Structural highlights

8jet is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Arabidopsis thaliana. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Electron Microscopy, Resolution 3.1Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

SKOR_ARATH Highly selective outward-rectifying potassium channel. Involved in potassium release into the xylem sap toward the shoots. Assuming opened or closed conformations in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, the channel is activated by depolarization. The voltage-dependence of the channel is abolished by internal or external acidification. May interact with the cytoskeleton or with regulatory proteins.[1]
