Structural highlights

6q2k is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Streptococcus gordonii. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2Å
Ligands:
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

SSPB_STRGN May bind sialic acid residues of salivary agglutinin (SAG) in a calcium-dependent reaction. The interaction of SAG with its receptor in various oral streptococci modulate bacterial colonization of oral tissue and is associated with reduced levels of dental caries.

6q2k, resolution 2.00Å
