Structural highlights

4if4 is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus Mu50. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2.35Å
Ligands:, ,
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

VRAR_STAAM Member of the two-component regulatory system VraS/VraR involved in the control of the cell wall peptidoglycan biosynthesis. VraR is overexpressed in strain Mu50, which leads to vancomycin resistance.
