Structural highlights

3v2u is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Saccharomyces cerevisiae S288C. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2.105Å
Ligands:, , ,
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

GAL80_YEAST This protein is a negative regulator for the gene expression of the lactose/galactose metabolic genes. It binds to GAL4 and so blocks transcriptional activation by it, in the absence of an inducing sugar.
