Structural highlights

1zo0 is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Rattus norvegicus. Full experimental information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Solution NMR

Function

OAZ1_RAT Binds to, and destabilizes, ornithine decarboxylase which is then degraded. Also inhibits cellular uptake of polyamines by inactivating the polyamine uptake transporter. SMAD1/OAZ1/PSMB4 complex mediates the degradation of the CREBBP/EP300 repressor SNIP1 (By similarity).[1]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
