Structural highlights

1l7a is a 2 chain structure with sequence from Bacillus subtilis. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 1.5Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT, TOPSAN

Function

CAH_BACSU Esterase that removed acetyl groups from a number of O-acetylated small substrates, such as acetylated xylose, short xylooligosaccharides and cephalosporin C. Has no activity towards polymeric acetylated xylan. Cannot cleave amide linkages.[1]

Evolutionary Conservation
