Function

UPPS_MICLU Generates ditrans,octacis-undecaprenyl pyrophosphate (UPP) from isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) and farnesyl diphosphate. UPP is the precursor of glycosyl carrier lipid in the biosynthesis of bacterial cell wall polysaccharide components such as peptidoglycan and lipopolysaccharide.[1] [2]
