DeoxyhaemoglobinDeoxyhaemoglobin
The major oxygen-binding molecule in man, responsible for binding oxygen in the lung and transporting it to the tissues by means of circulation. Haemoglobin (Hb) is an iron Fe chelate tightly binding one Fe ion in its II oxidation state where it carries the charge 2+(ferrous ion). If no oxygen molecule is bound it is called deoxyhaemoglobin.Deoxyhaemoglobin is a tetramer of two α and two β chains.
This shows the of deoxyhaemoglobin.
