Structural highlights

1s62 is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Escherichia coli. Full experimental information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Solution NMR
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

TOLA_ECOLI Involved in the TonB-independent uptake of group A colicins (colicins A, E1, E2, E3, and K). Necessary for the colicins to reach their respective targets after initial binding to the bacteria. Also involved in the translocation of bacteriophage DNA.

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
