Crystal structure of a Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase from Campylobacter jejuniCrystal structure of a Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase from Campylobacter jejuni

Structural highlights

3pj9 is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Camje. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:
Gene:Cj0332c, ndk (CAMJE)
Activity:Nucleoside-diphosphate kinase, with EC number 2.7.4.6
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

[NDK_CAMJE] Major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. The ATP gamma phosphate is transferred to the NDP beta phosphate via a ping-pong mechanism, using a phosphorylated active-site intermediate.[HAMAP-Rule:MF_00451]
