Structural highlights

5h2v is a 2 chain structure. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Activity:Ulp1 peptidase, with EC number 3.4.22.68
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

[IMB3_YEAST] Involved in the nuclear import of ribosomal proteins. Binds to nucleoporins and the GTP-bound form of GSP1 (Ran). Plays a role in protein secretion. [ULP1_YEAST] Protease that catalyzes two essential functions in the SUMO pathway: processing of full-length SMT3 to its mature form and deconjugation of SMT3 from targeted proteins. Has an essential role in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle.[1]
