Function

Rab5 GDP/GTP exchange factor (Rabex5) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor. Rabex5 stimulates nucleotide exchange on Rab5. Rabex can act as a ubiqiutin ligase. It forms a tight complex with rabaptin which augments its exchange activity. The rabex5-rabaptin complex is critical to endosomal fusion[1].
