Function
[SUVH6_ARATH] Histone methyltransferase. Methylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3. H3 'Lys-9' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression. Seems to act preferentially on dsMRNA.[1] [2]
