Azide complex of Engineered Subtilisin SUBT_BACAMAzide complex of Engineered Subtilisin SUBT_BACAM

Structural highlights

3bgo is a 2 chain structure with sequence from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:,
Gene:apr (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens)
Activity:Subtilisin, with EC number 3.4.21.62
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum

Function

[SUBT_BACAM] Subtilisin is an extracellular alkaline serine protease, it catalyzes the hydrolysis of proteins and peptide amides. Has a high substrate specificity to fibrin.[1]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
