Solution structure of the C2H2 type zinc finger (region 255-287) of human Zinc finger protein 224Solution structure of the C2H2 type zinc finger (region 255-287) of human Zinc finger protein 224

Structural highlights

2eor is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Human. Full experimental information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:
Gene:ZNF224 (HUMAN)
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, TOPSAN

Function

[ZN224_HUMAN] May be involved in transcriptional regulation as a transcriptional repressor. The DEPDC1A-ZNF224 complex may play a critical role in bladder carcinogenesis by repressing the transcription of the A20 gene, leading to transport of NF-KB protein into the nucleus, resulting in suppression of apoptosis of bladder cancer cells.[1]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
