Structural highlights

1zs6 is a 3 chain structure with sequence from Human. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:
Gene:NME3 (HUMAN)
Activity:Nucleoside-diphosphate kinase, with EC number 2.7.4.6
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum

Function

[NDK3_HUMAN] Major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. The ATP gamma phosphate is transferred to the NDP beta phosphate via a ping-pong mechanism, using a phosphorylated active-site intermediate. Probably has a role in normal hematopoiesis by inhibition of granulocyte differentiation and induction of apoptosis.

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
