Solution NMR Structure of PHD Type 1 Zinc Finger Domain 1 of Lysine-specific Demethylase Lid from Drosophila melanogaster, Northeast Structural Genomics Consortium (NESG) Target FR824JSolution NMR Structure of PHD Type 1 Zinc Finger Domain 1 of Lysine-specific Demethylase Lid from Drosophila melanogaster, Northeast Structural Genomics Consortium (NESG) Target FR824J
FunctionFunction
[KDM5_DROME] Histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. Does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-9', H3 'Lys-27', H3 'Lys-36', H3 'Lys-79' or H4 'Lys-20'. Specifically demethylates trimethylated H3 'Lys-4'. Required for the correct regulation of homeotic genes during development.[1] [2] [3] [4]
