Lyases are enzymes that catalyze the breaking of various chemical bonds by means other than hydrolysis and oxidation. They are classified as EC 4 under the EC number classification.
Articles in Proteopedia concerning Lyases include:
- Aconitase
- Carbonic Anhydrase
- DOPA Decarboxylase
- Enolase
- Fumarase
- Fructose Bisphosphate Aldolase
- Isochorismate Pyruvate Lyase
- Ribulose Bisphosphate Carboxylase
