Structure of the catalytic subunit of telomerase, TERT, 3du5

Template:STRUCTURE 3du5

Telomerase (TEL) adds DNA repeats to the tail end of telomeres. It carries its own RNA. The human TEL is composed of 2 Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase (TERT), 2 Telomerase RNA (TERC) and 2 dyskerin (DKC1) molecules. The images at the left and at the right correspond to one representative Telomerase structure, i.e. crystal structure of catalytic subunit of telomerase, TERT, from Tribolium castaneum (3du5).
