Crystal structure of human 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenaseCrystal structure of human 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase

Structural highlights

2qnk is a 1 chain structure with sequence from Human. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Ligands:,
NonStd Res:
Gene:HAAO (HUMAN)
Activity:3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase, with EC number 1.13.11.6
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT, TOPSAN

Function

[3HAO_HUMAN] Catalyzes the oxidative ring opening of 3-hydroxyanthranilate to 2-amino-3-carboxymuconate semialdehyde, which spontaneously cyclizes to quinolinate.[1]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
