FunctionPhospholipase A1 (PLA1) hydrolyzes phospholipids to produce 2-acyl-lysophospholipids and fatty acids[1]. PLA1 preferentially hydrolyzes phosphatidic acid and PLA1-phosphatidic acid regulates mitochondria dynamics[2]. RelevancePhosphatidylserine-specific PLA1 expression in colorectal cancer is associated with tumor invasion and metastasis[3].
