Crystal Structure of the N-terminal Domain of Anaphase-Promoting Complex Subunit 7Crystal Structure of the N-terminal Domain of Anaphase-Promoting Complex Subunit 7

Structural highlights

3ffl is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Homo sapiens. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2.5Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

APC7_HUMAN Component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/C complex acts by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins: it mainly mediates the formation of 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitin chains and, to a lower extent, the formation of 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains.[1]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
