FunctionTRAP1_HUMAN Chaperone that expresses an ATPase activity. Involved in maintaining mitochondrial function and polarization, most likely through stabilization of mitochondrial complex I. Is a negative regulator of mitochondrial respiration able to modulate the balance between oxidative phosphorylation and aerobic glycolysis.
