Crystal Structure of Chlorophenol 4-Monooxygenase (TftD) of Burkholderia cepacia AC1100Crystal Structure of Chlorophenol 4-Monooxygenase (TftD) of Burkholderia cepacia AC1100

Structural highlights

3hwc is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Burkholderia cepacia. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2.5Å
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

TFTD_BURCE Oxygenase component of a two-component system that degrades 2,4,5-trichlorophenol. Uses FADH(2) supplied by TftC to oxidize 2,4,5-trichlorophenol (2,4,5-TCP) to 2,5-dichloro-p-benzoquinone, which is chemically reduced to 2,5-dichloro-p-hydroquinone (2,5-DiCHQ). Then, TftD oxidizes the latter to 5-chloro-2-hydroxy-p-benzoquinone.[1] [2]

Evolutionary Conservation

Check, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
