Uses primary fluorescent dioxobilin-type chlorophyll catabolite (pFDCC) as substrate to produce O13(4)-desmethyl pFDCC (PubMed:23723324, PubMed:24302623). Also able to catalyze pheophorbides in vitro (PubMed:22147518).
