== Function ==
Borealin (BOR) is a member of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC) which includes [[survivin]] and [[INCENP]].  It is required for the stability of the bipolar mitotic spindle<ref>PMID:15249581</ref>. 

== Relevance ==
Borealin plays a key role in liver development, regeneration and tumorigenesis and may be a potential target for related liver diseases<ref>PMID:27542413</ref>. 

== Structural highlights ==
The interactions between BOR, survivin and INCENP involve a set of hydrophobic interactions formed by the three-helix bundle and links by <scene name='74/748865/Cv/2'>electrostatic interactions</scene><ref>PMID:17956729</ref>.
