Assignment 5: IIC: Secondary Structure: Dissect a monomer into secondary structure elements. You may want to include a wiring diagram or use the wiring diagram in PDBsum[17] as an aid in presenting. Briefly comment on the significance of the elements when required.[5]
1. You are using human glutamine synthetase when you ought to be using prokaryotic GS as stated in the assignment.
2. Therefore some of the information will change.
3. Does your First Wiki show that the subunits are identical or just shows one of the subunits? I can show you how to do a superposition.
4. You ought to show the locations of the C and N terminus to prove your point. There are a number of ways you can do so.
5. You are getting your terminology mixed up. I am also guilty of this as well. You have 12 beta strands but at least two beta sheets.
6. You can very well expand on what you mean a ligand complex. Is the Cl- essential for activity? This of course will change upon using the correct organism’s crystal structure.
7. The outline needs a bit more work. You might have all the major points required to pass. See if you can show some originality or creativity.
8. Remove exercises from final copy.
9. Also get rid of headline text at the bottom of the page.

Hi all
Fine job. A few things marred your effort. The first WIKI does not really show anything--its a bit confusing. All the other applets are fine. I am not sure the mixture of depictions the beta sheets and strands are the best. The active site is difficult to see.
