Rac GTPase-activating protein
FunctionRac GTPase-activating protein 1 (RacGAP1) is required for the attachment of the midbody to the cell membrane during cytokinesis. It is involved in the regulation of growth-related processes in adipocytes and myoblasts. RelevanceRacGAP1 expression is a prognostic marker for HBV-positive human hepatocellular carcinoma and can be a potential molecular target for therapeutic strategies against this carcinoma[1].
