Protein DJ-1
FunctionProtein DJ-1 or DJ-1 or PARK7 or protein/nucleic acid deglycase DJ-1 or protein deglycase DJ-1 or RNA-binding protein regulatory subunit is a cancer- and Parkinson Disease-associated protein which protects cells from toxic stresses. Dj-1 is an antioxidant and functions in transcription modulatory activity[1]. DiseaseThe loss of DJ-1 leads to deficits in the detoxification enzyme NADP-quinone oxidoreductase[2]. Mutations in DJ-1 caused early onset of Parkinson disease[3]. Structural highlightsThe 3D structure of DJ-1 complex with the inhibitor isatin shows the covalent bond formed between isatin and DJ-1 as well as the between the inhibitor and the protein[4]. . Water molecules are shown as red spheres. 3D structures of protein DJ-1Updated on 04-May-2025 3sf8, 6m8z, 4bte, 4p34, 4p35, 4p36, 4p2g, 6e5z, 6af5, 2r1u, 2or3, 4rkw, 3bwe, 4ogf, 4mnt, 1soa, 2r1v, 2r1t, 7c62, 5sy6 - hDJ-1 - human 3f71, 3ezg, 2rk6, 2rk4, 2rk3, 3b3a, 3b36, 3b38, 4oq4, 4s0z, 6af7, 3cyf, 3cy6, 3cza, 3cz9, 4rky, 4n12, 4n0m, 4mtc, 5sy9, 5sya - hDJ-1 (mutant)
