Poliovirus receptor-related protein

Function

Poliovirus receptor-related protein (PVRP) or Nectin are membrane glycoproteins belonging to the immunoglobulin family.

  • PVRP-1 mediates Ca+2-independent cell adhesion[1].
  • PVRP-2 and PVRP-3 are components of the adherens junction[2].
  • PVRP-4 binds PVRP-1.

Relevance

PVRP-4 is involved in tumor cell migration.
