Function

CAMT_NIAKG Catechol O-methyltransferase that can use various catechol-like compounds (PubMed:33596655). Can produce vanillic acid (meta-form) and iso-vanillic acid (para-form) from protocatechuic acid (PCA) (PubMed:33596655). Does not have a regiospecificity, and produces the meta- and para-forms of the products in equal proportion (PubMed:33596655).[1]
