RGS9_MOUSE Inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. Binds to G(t)-alpha. Involved in phototransduction; key element in the recovery phase of visual transduction.
